Assignment #3 - Exposure Value Compensation
1. Find two subjects/scenes that are predominantly light in tone and correctly expose (your histogram and) bracketing with EV+/-
2. Find two subjects/scenes that are predominantly dark in tone and correctly expose (your histogram and) bracketing with EV+/-
3. Upload all images to your H: drive. We will do this together in class tomorrow.
4. Using Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro x2 you will create two “side-by-side collages.” One will be for the dominantly light scene, the other for the dominantly dark scene.
5. Write a brief 150 word summary describing what you noticed. You may wish to describe the use of Exposure Values, to describe your choice of subjects/scenes for each of 1 and 2. This should be posted to your blog.
6. Overall Marks
- Subject should be opaque
- You may need to adjust your ISO to avoid slow shutter speeds in Aperture Priority or to avoid LOW or blink aperture in shutter priority
- Start with an exposure value compensation of EV 2-, then EV 1-, EV 0, EV 1+, EV 2+.
- You should have 5 or more images for each subject/scene
